Health equity

Sangath’s work with health equity built on earlier experiences of, and specifically responded to the inequities faced by activists from the trans and disability communities during the COVID19 pandemic. Through the initiative for Health Equity, Advocacy, and Research (iHEAR), Sangath has been collaborating with diverse partner organisations and   community members with lived experiences using participatory approaches. iHEAR currently works with the LGBTQIA+ and disability communities at the intersections of healthcare and vaccine access, medical education, and mental health  using innovative and interdisciplinary methods including humanities and art.
