After joining the Khushee Mamta program, I learned what you need to become a good counsellor. I have to be a good listener, that is also a quality. When someone used to listen to me, I would like that, but I never cared about listening to anyone properly (laughs). I have really learned this skill here.

Telepsychiatry is very effective for many people, providing an alternative option to traditional in-person psychiatric services. It provides an easy way for clients to access psychiatric services if they are unable to travel. The average health care consumer demands conveniences, access and many more benefits which are all fulfilled by this telepsychiatry project so far. That’s why I felt this project is quite promising.

We have been closely associated with Sangath for over 4 years. From workshops for our employees, to creating special training programs for our grassroots coaches that will enable them to step onto the football pitch and talk to children and parents alike about mental health, the ARG team at Sangath has motivated us to do more. Our collaboration has now allowed us to engage with communities and deliver mental health programs using football. Over the last few years, Sangath and particularly the team at ARG has been one of our closest collaborators and partners at the Forca Goa Foundation. The ease of working with every single member from this team and the passion they constantly bring to the table is what drives us to push ourselves with our projects. All of us at the Forca Goa Foundation hope that the ARG team continues to explore new boundaries and inspire others in the years ahead.
